Writing Again

(Oil pastel I did earlier this week)

Wow! I haven't written in almost six months!  I am trying to jog my brain as to all of the wonderful things that have happened since I wrote last. I was talking with some friends about writing again, and just where to start. I was so encouraged to really just make this blog more of my own.

I feel like I put so much of my own emphasis on certain things like, "Oh wow this picture needs to be this certain size," or, "I have to have this many style posts, and this many photography posts," but honestly--I just want to write! I love writing and journaling. I journal every single day, and love to create art and mix it in with everything. I really want to push myself, and journal for myself so that I can look back at this chapter in my life and recollect some memories. Like a scrapbook online!

Anyway, below are some pictures over the last couple months that show some adventures that were taken, or some events in my life that were important milestones. Above all, I have been seeing the Lord in every area of my life, even the low points. He is everywhere, and I need Him and His grace more everyday. Enjoy!

Here were some film pictures that Samuel took with a disposable camera. He wanted them for a class, but they took so long to be developed that he had to think of another creative option for his project.

Swingtime On The River in Augusta in September!

Just a good family picture by moms tall sunflowers.

In September, a group from the BCM went to Red River Gorge, and I had to push myself so much--mentally and physically! But it was so rewarding, especially going with such amazing friends! When we finally got on top of Cave Splitter at around 11pm, Michael brought his little mini oven, and a cast iron skillet and made everyone some stir fry.

Alex, Joe, Megan and I got lost and we didn't have connection to call Dustin and the other side of the clan. Michael was so sweet and set up a tent for Brooke and I on top of Cave Splitter. This was in the morning once everyone woke up. It was around 7am, and we couldn't see the trees around us because of the fog!

Michael in the morning. The fog was so intense and some of the most beautiful scenery I'd ever seen!

Brooke and Jeremiah in the morning.

In the morning, Michael made eggs and sausage, so we were preparing for our long day of hiking and climbing ahead!

A couple weeks later after the Gorge trip, Jeremiah and Brooke showed Michael and I the cutest spot on the Ohio River!

Over the past semester (my LAST semester at NKU!) I had a wonderful Internship with Matthew 25 Ministries. It was an amazing opportunity, and I loved the people there. SO wonderful! I learned a lot. Anyway, the Hunger 5K was a big part of what I worked on there. I painted this on the kitchen windows at the Matthew 25 warehouse.

This was a picture I did as part of the "Inktober," before going on vacation with all of the Fergusons.

I went to Gulf Shores, Alabama with all of the Fergusons and it was so refreshing and wonderful.

Josh caught a shark!

I loved spending a whole week with my love and his family!

Michael and I at sunset

Gulf Shores had the most beautiful sunsets I'd ever seen. I couldn't capture them on camera.

Ben was an anime character.

Violet was so sweet and wild the whole week!

One day, some of the guys--including Eli and Kai--woke up at 5 and went early to "The Point." It was freezing, but was really fun!

Titus was a little peanut! So cute!

Loved spending time with Michael's sisters. They are wonderful women of God and I look up to each of them!

On the way back from Alabama, we stopped at Western Kentucky University and got something to eat. Well, I got a call from Brooke saying her and Jeremiah got ENGAGED! I just started crying! I am so insanely excited for Brooke and Jeremiah and know that the Lord is going to use them in such amazing ways. Their love is so special.

The car ride home was 15 hours...

October was Stranger Things 2 month!! Mom and dad decorated their basement to being Stranger Things themed, it was amazing.

Seanna, Michael, Samuel and I began watching the new season of Stranger Things at 7pm, and didn't finish watching it until 4:30am!

For Halloween, Michael dressed up as "a three-hole-punched version of Jim," and I dressed up as Pam "the cat" from The Office!

A painting I'm working on for Michael and I's wedding.

Amy, the event coordinator at Matthew 25, and I decorated this really tall tree to get in the Christmas spirit at Matthew 25!

For my birthday, and Mammaw and Pappaws 51st anniversary, mom had a party at the house, and it was filled with family fun.

I love spending time with family!!

One of the things we did at the BCM as an "end of semester" thing, was having a spontaneous worship night. It was so fulfilling. Dustin and Gaby are starting a house community that is affiliated with Living Church. They are starting in January, and it's going to be by NKU, and I am so excited! More about that later!

Some art in my journal.

I graduated on the 16th with my Bachelors in Media Informatics!!!! Wow! I am done with college!

Michael is such an amazing supporter!

After graduation I spent some time with mom and dad, and it was so relaxing and great. It was dads birthday and he got a VR goggles!

The day after dad's birthday Michael and I went Christmas shopping and spent some lovely time together. That night we went and saw the new Star Wars movie!

Since the Christmas season is here, I will probably make a blog post about some other things about Christmas and festivities, but the Fergs took Festival of Lights! It was so much fun, and such great weather for the occasion.

Stay tuned for more!
Thanks for reading,

Courtney
